Michigan Annual Conference 2023
The Michigan Annual Conference is June 2-4 in Traverse City. The Commission on The Annual Conference Session is pleased to announce the return to an in-person gathering at the Grand Traverse Resort this year. Read more HERE.
General Conference 2024
The Commission on the General Conference announced has announced that the 2024 United Methodist General Conference will be held April 23 – May 3, 2024, at Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Read more HERE.
The Midwest District to Become Western Waters District
Changes coming July 1, 2023
The Midwest District currently has 85 churches with 65 appointed clergy covering 8 counties. The Northern Waters District currently has 75 churches with 60 appointed pastors covering 20 counties.
The new Western Waters District will have 86 churches with about 78 appointed pastors covering 12 counties.
The leadership of the Northern Waters and Midwest Districts are working on the various details which includes an organizational District Conference later this spring.
The Rev. Jodie Flessner will be the district superintendent. Rev. Dr. Margie Crawford will lead the East Winds District. Read more about these changes HERE.
A Farewell Celebration for The One And Only Midwest District Superintendent, Rev. Dr. Margie Crawford is planned for Sunday, April 30 at GR Trinity UMC. Read more and RSVP HERE.
